Ryan J. Ward, DDS
My passion for dentistry began at a very young age as a result of being born with a cleft lip and cleft palate. The excellent care I was provided by general dentists and specialists inspired me to become a dentist. Having undergone years of extensive dental treatment myself, I realize that all patients have different dental needs. My desire to provide comprehensive dental treatment for my patients led me to pursue a general dentistry residency after dental school, where I gained advanced training in complex restorative and cosmetic treatments, as well as additional training in the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants.
I joined Gage Dental Group in 2016 after a year of private practice in the Kansas City area. Both my wife and I graduated from Washburn University, and the idea of returning to a community we feel close to was important to us. Working at Gage Dental Group allows me to share treatment ideas and successes with other like-minded dentists. We love meeting new patients and friends, and we look forward to serving you and your family!

I was recruited to play collegiate tennis for Washburn University, which brought me back to my birth state! During my time at Washburn I met my wife, Shelby, who is a Topeka native. We welcomed our first child in 2017, and he keeps us very busy! We enjoy working out, playing tennis, hiking, and spending time with our two Cocker Spaniels, Houston and Sadie!
